Research

Last updated 1 year ago

Research entries can fall into a few categories as they can closely align with both “Identify the Problem” and “Brainstorming” Areas that could be considered research entries may include the following, but could also be looked at as covering the next area (Brainstorming/Evaluate).

  • Reviewing updated Game Rules

  • Reviewing past games that may have similar objectives or game elements and objects

  • Looking up or investigating information regarding design principles

  • Describing the math or equations used for programming functions such as PID or Odometry. Could also be used to describe the approach to velocity and angle for driving or shooting an object.

The entry below is an example of a research entry that discusses the expansion limitation being point to point.

Another useful approach to research entries could be for reviewing other team’s designs or for scouting.
