Time Management

When considering what type of entries may reflect Team and Project Management in regards to time management the following are typically presented

  • Gantt Chart

    • A Gantt Chart is a project management tool that can be used to track key tasks or duties against a specific time period. This is especially useful when looking at needing to complete a project by a specified date and there are known key activities that need to be completed. Assignments given to team members or roles can also be tracked as part of this to measure how well a task is being completed and whether or not the duties need more attention to ensure completion on time.

  • Timelines

    • Similar to a Gantt Chart, but more simplified, a timeline will likely show an overview from one point of time to another. This can be useful for showing key activities that may take place over a specific period of time. For instance, it may be useful in tracking key dates in between competitions.

  • Calendars

    • Calendars can be useful keeping track of key dates. When using a calendar it may be helpful to place them in the notebook at the beginning of a month in front of any entries that may be made for that month. Some may find it useful to have a start of month calendar with key objectives identified and one at the end showing which tasks have been completed or additional due dates that have been tracked for that month.
