Time Management

Within this area it is good to focus on a few things. First developing a timeline of activities that may take place during the season, a design phase, or the weeks leading up to a competition can all be tracked. This can be done in a variety of ways. Two solutions that can be looked at Calendars ang Gantt Charts

Calendars

Calendars are fairly simple to maintain and REC foundation provides monthly templates as part of their Digital Engineering Notebook Template. Leveraging a calendar can be done in a couple ways. Either have a calendar with noted important dates individually marked or use highlight numerous days for ongoing activities or key timeline events.

Gantt Charts

Gantt Charts are a great way to keep track of a team’s design activity or even the cycles between competitions.

There are numerous tools that can be used to create Gantt Charts such as Google Sheet or Excel templates. Sites like monday.com, teamgantt.com, or smartsheet.com can be leveraged and shared amongst team members to keep them up to date around ongoing activities.
